Nicole Kidman's Netflix rom-com A Family Affair offers just a hint of what's to come from the actor this year – she's also set to star in The Perfect Couple, a seriously star-studded series adapted from a top beach read. And it's out this week, on 5 September.
The salacious show looks to be fronted by some amazing women, with Bad Sisters star Eve Hewson and Dakota Fanning joining Kidman to lead the series. We've got wealth, a dysfunctional family and one big murder mystery. On board yet?
It's based on a novel, as well as two real-life murders in the 1960s.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name and executive produced by Stranger Things' Shawn Levy, we reckon this is going to be huge.
And now, an official trailer and first look pics have dropped. Here's everything we know so far about Netflix's The Perfect Couple.
The Perfect Couple plot
It will follow the story set out by the novel, with the official synopsis for the series reading as follows: “Amelia Sacks (Hewson) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Kidman), has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach.
"As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.”
What could've been the event of the century has become a very glamorous whodunnit.
The Perfect Couple trailer
The official trailer looks SERIOUSLY scandalous: basically a load of rich, beautiful people who are being questioned for murder – and serious tensions within a family who can perhaps afford to get away with such a crime. Plus, great music. And hair. Obsessed already.
The Perfect Couple cast
Joining Nicole Kidman, Eve Hewson and Dakota Fanning will be The Bold Type and The White Lotus star Meghann Fahy, Liev Schreiber, Billy Howle, Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Ishaan Khatter, Mia Isaac, Donna Lynne Champlin, Isabelle Adjani and Billy Howle.
We have so many questions after watching the teaser, and seeing the first look pics:
How gorgeous do Eve Hewson and Meghann Fahy look?
Is Nicole Kidman's character guilty or what?
And is it fair that she always looks this chic?
We also can't wait to see Dakota Fanning play what looks to be an ethically dubious rich gal.
And also, Meghann Fahy is an entire mood.
The Perfect Couple release date
The show will drop on Netflix on 5 September – so get ready.
