Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 is taking us back into the midst of Middle-earth this week as the second season of Amazon Prime's fantasy series returns. It's been two years since the first season was released, so to say we're buzzing for the latest instalment is an understatement.

The next episode of the series, episode 4, will be released on Thursday September 5 at 8am BST (3am EST), with further episodes dropping on a weekly basis from this week until the finale episode on October 3.

As with season 1, The Rings of Power season 2 will feature 8 episodes, with them expected to have a similar runtime of one hour each.
