I am yet to meet another person who's just as devoted to shopping at & Other Stories as myself. It has actually become a bit of a running joke within the GLAMOUR office, getting to a point that everyone readily assumes that nearly every one of my OOTDs includes at least one element from this coveted Scandi brand. Needless to say, my obsession could only be described as a long-term and committed relationship.
Ever since I moved to the UK and discovered & Other Stories – which was unavailable in my home country – it was love at first sight. I credit the brand for all the embroidered knitwear that got me through my uni years, the structured blazers that made me feel like the ultimate ‘corporate girl’, and – without exaggerating – the entirety of my midi dress collection.
In my defence, I'm not the only one. Not only do the brand's minimal yet elevated pieces often come recommended by all the in-the-know “it girls”, but they've also repeatedly secured the seal of approval from the likes of Kate Middleton and Selena Gomez.
Much like its sister brand H&M, & Other Stories is also known for its bank of sell-out designer collabs. My favourite to date has to be a recent collection from Susan Fang, which was the most ethereal drop full of statement pieces with ruffles and textured floral designs.
And although the brand is, admittedly, the more expensive option compared to its high-street rivals, trust me when I tell you that as far as the quality is concerned, & Other Stories is second to none. Whether it comes to occasion dressing or building a capsule wardrobe, some of the pieces I've secured for my wardrobe have lasted for years, and that's saying something.

As per my most recent & Other Stories shopping venture, I visited the brand's store in London's Old Spitalfields Market to upgrade my summer wardrobe. Yep, even though nobody told the UK weather that it's the middle of July and not, in fact, autumn – I refuse to let the grey skies keep me from wearing summer dresses, linen co-ords and everything in-between (even if it is underneath a trench coat, sigh).
In a bid to spruce up my wardrobe with something other than long sleeve dresses, denim or blazers (AKA my comfort zone for day-to-day wear), I was in the mood to experiment and try on outfits that I wouldn't normally wear. Luckily, I was spoilt for choice, and ended up loving all eight pieces (plus accessories) that I took with me to the changing room.
Enter: a splash of sky blue (as per the SS24 collections from Stella McCartney, Alaïa and JW Anderson), plus loads of asymmetrical silhouettes which we've seen take centre stage at Copenhagen fashion week. The standout pieces for me were the ones that featured a statement sleeve (à la Schiaparelli and Carolina Herrera) – a sure way to add a little drama to any look.

The coquette moment
As soon as I entered the store, my eyes were set on this A-line dress and its adorable bow detail in the back – straight out of the “coquette girl” playbook. At first, I wasn't sure whether the colour would complement my skin tone, but having taken notes from the Stella McCartney, Alaïa and JW Anderson SS24 collections, I was eager to hop on the “sky blue” hype train. I'm also not one who would usually go for a bare-sleeve dress, but as soon as I put it on, the flattering A-line silhouette convinced me otherwise.
The wearable statement sleeve
As much as I loved seeing statement sleeves taking over the SS24 designer collections – Schiaparelli and Carolina Herrera, I'm looking at you – and no matter how thoroughly overjoyed I was to see them on Emma Stone in Poor Things, often times, I wouldn't find them wearable enough to incorporate in my everyday wardrobe. That is, until I stumbled upon this number from & Other Stories. Having paired it with a thick headband from (you guessed it) & Other Stories, I loved how the blouse instantly elevated my look and added just enough drama in the most effortless way possible.
An olive green co-ord
I'm well aware that if there's one colour that my wardrobe definitely lacks, it's green. That said, I wasn't after a punchier lime green. Instead, I was looking for something a bit more subtle and elegant, which is why it felt as though this olive green co-ord was calling my name. And as a sucker for anything midi, I knew I'd be all over that skirt. The silk fabric felt cooling on the skin, which is likely to come handy during the occasional heatwave. But what impressed me most was the creased finish, which made the whole look that much more flattering. It also means that this two-piece wouldn't require a whole lot of ironing either. A win-win.
A chic, textured dress
I'm a “throw-it-on-and-out-the-door" kinda gal, which is why dresses are some of my go-to pieces that I have on rotation throughout the summer months. I know, I did say that I would aim to pick up the pieces that I wouldn't normally wear, but I simply couldn't resist this ivory number. The thin shoulder straps, the asymmetric hemline, the textured fabric – everything about this dress was as chic as it gets. I decided to accessorise it with a small leather bucket bag with a braided handle, which I thought was an elegant addition to the overall ensemble.
An asymmetric top
After Copenhagen fashion week declared asymmetry as one of the biggest trends of the season, I knew I had to keep my eyes peeled for something of the kind from & Other Stories. My choice fell on this one-shoulder black-and-white top, which I had actually bookmarked weeks before visiting the store. The unique embroidered detailing looked just as beautiful in-person as it did online, making it versatile enough to wear to the office, a date night or a brunch get-together.
A linen co-ord
Queue the drumroll: this linen co-ord is, hands down, my favourite combo I've tried on all day. For context, after returning from Bali earlier this year, I've come to realise that there was a clear missing puzzle piece to my holiday wardrobe – beach/poolside outfits. I used to be the kind of person who would wear a tie-front cover over my swimsuit and call it a day, but after seeing all the “it girls” rock their crochet dresses and linen fits, I felt like I was missing out. I opted to try this linen co-ord over a simple two-piece swimsuit and paired it with the brand's frameless 90s-inspired sunnies as well as a chunky necklace of my own, all of which was a match made in heaven.
