Lucy Morgan

Lucy joined Glamour as a freelance contributor in May 2021, prior to starting as Purpose Editor and Deputy Website Editor in August 2022. She is responsible for coordinating long-term policy campaigns including politics, female empowerment and sustainability.

Lucy is the campaign manager for 'GLAMOUR Talks… Consent' which successfully lobbied the UK government to criminalise the creation of non-consensual deepfake pornography. She coordinated GLAMOUR's Consent Survey, in partnership with Rape Crisis and Refuge, which surveyed over 4000 women about their attitudes towards sexual consent; organised a parliamentary roundtable about image-based abuse; and spoke about her campaigning work at the world's first virtual summit on deepfake abuse.

Ahead of the 2024 general election, Lucy launched a campaign in partnership with the End Violence Against Women Coalition, Not Your Porn, and Professor Clare McGlynn to lobby the next government to introduce a comprehensive image-based abuse law. You can get involved with the campaign here.

In 2023, Lucy was recognised at the PPA Next Gen Awards; her reporting on domestic violence was shortlisted and highly commended at the Write to End Violence Against Women Awards; and her Women's World Cup content series in partnership with VERSUS was shortlisted for ‘Best Fan Engagement’ at the Women's Football Awards.

She’s previously written for Cosmopolitan, Grazia, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Women's Health, Men's Health, and Red Magazine. Her work has been syndicated across international brands, including Vogue, GQ, Teen Vogue, and Them.

Lucy enjoys running, climbing, and spending time with her dog, Max, who she named after the dog from The Grinch. She is currently based in London – although she spends a considerable amount of time plotting long weekends back in Yorkshire with her family.
