If you’ve yet to experience the thrill of Lelo Gigi 2, then sit back and let me tell you a story for the ages. Why me? Because I’ve been around the block (quite a few times!) when it comes to sex toys, so I have wisdom to impart.

In my quest to find the perfect sex toy, I’ve come across many Lelo products, a brand known the world over for its luxury toys that are not only body-safe but also have the ability to truly satisfy via a vibrator, clit-sucker, dildo, or cock ring. However, of all the silicone cuties to come into my life, one of the few that will forever stand out is Lelo Gigi 2. Swoon. But let’s start at the beginning.

The Gigi 2 is a G-spot vibrator that’s an upgrade from the original Gigi — a toy I’ve never tried, I’m sorry to say. The Gigi 2 first came my way during the COVID lockdowns of 2020, so I had a lot of time to kill (to say the least). When I first opened the box, two things stuck out: its smallness and its flattened tip. I was immediately intrigued by the tip because G-spot vibrators tend to have rounded tips — like the Lelo Mona 2, for example — and I can’t say I love that feature. But ultimately how something looks doesn’t necessarily speak to its talent, so I quit my mulling and got down to the masturbation business.

The flat head is wider than most dildo tips, made for ideal external stimulation because it covers more area. It’s this design feature that allows me to experience powerful vibrations that spread throughout my vulva and right on up to my sweet spot — my beloved clitoris. It feels like a little vulva-centric foreplay action every time before I go all in for the clitoral stimulation.

When it comes to all massagers, I love a strong vibration, so I usually need to crank it, but with the Lelo Gigi 2, I don’t. Instead I leave the intensities somewhere in the middle, and despite the eight vibration patterns, I like to keep things simple and ride the waves of pleasure like the horny mermaid I am. Full disclosure: I’ve never been a pattern gal. Did I have a clitoral orgasm the first time I used Gigi 2? You bet I did. Have I every time? Oh, yeah. But I'm a clit gal, so this is on par for me. While I tend to use the Gigi 2 more often for clitoral stimulation, when it comes to internal action, it’s definitely a favourite. That flattened tip full of girth woos me almost every time, so let’s talk about how exciting that is for me — and for you (because you’re going to get one after reading this).

First up: You need some water-based lube. As fantastic as the Gigi 2 is on its own, the best lube for women makes every situation even better. Over the past couple years, my go-to lube has been the Coco de Mer Divine Glow Aqua Lubricant, so I always have it nearby for all my in-and-out dalliances.

To no surprise, Gigi 2 hits the right spot, er, my G-spot perfectly. It doesn’t involve any finagling and I love that. As I do with G-spot vibrators, I apply just enough pressure so vibrations go deep and my entire vagina feels like it’s ascended to another plane. But with the Gigi 2, it’s not just vag-related pleasure but more all-encompassing. While the vibes are up close and personal to my G-spot, the sensations never cease to spread beyond that and throughout my body. Despite this, I don’t have a G-spot orgasm each time with the Gigi 2, but that’s on me.

G-spot orgasms are something I can achieve only when my head is 100% in the game — which, I admit, isn’t always the case. For clitoral orgasm, it’s a buzz-and-done situation, but internal O’s require more from me. But when it comes to G-spot orgasms, Gigi 2 delivers more than the other G-spot stimulators I have in my trove. It’s even made me squirt a few times, so that speaks volumes (pun!) in and of itself. I’d also like to note that, although I was unable to procure a cervical orgasm, with Gigi 2 it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Gigi 2 has four inches of insertable length and the cervix is anywhere from three to six inches up from the vaginal opening, so it could happen.

I know the Gigi 2 isn’t new. It’s been around since before I was even a zygote (because I’m that young). But despite that, I still know a bit about sex toys. I might still burn everything I put in the oven and I may have to hold up my hands in L-shapes to determine right from left, but sex toys I know. And with that said, the Gigi 2 is in my top five of all time for a reason.

Orgasm rating: A

One of the reasons the Gigi 2 is among Lelo’s bestsellers is because when it comes to serving up orgasms, it’s a sure thing. A Lelo Gigi 2 review on Lovehoney declared, “Gigi hits my G-spot directly and massages it mercilessly. She never misses and I lose myself.” Same, friend, same. It’s a G-spot massage that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

Design: A

I love the design of all Lelo toys. Whether it’s Sona, Soraya Wave, or Mona 2, I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to the designs. That matte deep rose silicone vibrator against my clit or G-spot is a delicious luxury that not every brand can offer. It’s USB rechargeable with a battery life of up to four hours when fully charged—another fantastic design feature—and comes with a satin pouch so you can toss your vibrator and charger in your bag every time you travel.

Quality: A

In case you’re late to the party, when it comes to sex toys, they should always be made of premium, medical-grade silicone. If your sex toy is made of regular ol’ plastic or a jelly-like substance, throw it out. Now. (Glass dildos are still fine to use.)

Although the handle of the Gigi 2 is made of ABS plastic, it’s important to know that unlike other plastics, ABS is nontoxic and won't break down and release chemicals into your body or the environment. It’s this attention to detail when it comes to body-safe materials that I especially love about Lelo.

Sound level: A

Some vibrators boast that they’re whisper-quiet but actually aren’t. However, the Gigi 2 absolutely is. When it’s under my blankets and between my legs, the only noise in the room is me.

Vibration strength: A

It wouldn’t be in my top fave vibrators of all time if the vibes were weak. As I said, I like a strong vibration and that’s exactly what I get here.

Pros

The battery life is amazing, as are all the vibration modes. You'll also appreciate its one-year warranty against “faulty workmanship and materials that affect the product's function.”

Cons

Some customer reviews on Lovehoney and other sites felt it was a bit pricey. I’d agree, if the Gigi 2 wasn’t so amazing. When I check my bank account every Monday morning, the damage from the weekend is quadruple what the Lelo Gigi 2 costs — and she doesn’t give me a hangover, so I say it’s worth every penny.
