Boho chic is back. You'll know that, if you've been paying close attention to the catwalks (ahem, Chemena Kamali for Chloé). And no other brand on the high street nails the boho brief like Free People. Bearing in mind that subtlety is key this time around (soft and artful injections, rather than OTT ensembles reminiscent of the early-2000s), the brand's new-in section is peppered with tasteful boho pieces that are just perfect for everything from festival outfitting to your Mediterranean holiday.
And if the brand's trademark bohemian style isn't your usual cup of tea, don’t worry. With a great selection of denim – including jeans from brands such as Levi's and Agolde – to linen co-ords and excellent leather, it's no wonder the brand has an army of celebrity fans.
Hailey Bieber, Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have all worn Free People on countless occasions, while London-based influencer Lucy Williams has recently dropped a collaboration collection with the brand that is everything our summer wardrobes have been dreaming of. Home to labels including LoveShackFancy, Damson Madder and Frankie's Bikinis – as well as Free People's own Free-est, We The Free and FP One – their new-in section is obviously a treasure trove of summer goodness. The 70s-inspired accessories section, included.
Enter: our Free People Dressing Room Diaries. I regularly find myself on the Free People website, so thought it only apt to head into the brand's Regent Street store to try on the best bits. Whether you want to create a capsule wardrobe and are thus hunting for basics – or you're after a statement piece like this sell-out star leather jacket – this edit of the best of Free People can act as your pay day wishlist.
Particular highlights? Despite the grey weather, I am making a start on my holiday shopping list with a new pair of sunglasses. Whether that be oversized square or cat eye, I find them such a staple. Elsewhere, this high cut one piece swimsuit is a total classic, available in sixteen colours (!) and so comfortable. I'd just recommend sizing up.

Sweet Nothings Midi Dress
I don't wear green enough, but this gorgeous summer dress would look so cute at a wedding. Or picnic, especially now it's finally getting warmer. It has a full skirt, flattering shirred bodice and a pretty ruffle detail which runs between the straps. I loved it.
Ziggy Denim Overalls
Am I in my dungaree era? I definitely am now. One of the most comfiest outfits I have ever worn and available in 26 different colours. Impressive, huh? I loved the 90's Jennifer Aniston vibe – and how comfortable it was. A nice way to feel relaxed without having to resort to your tracksuit.
Prepster Crest Baseball Hat
I'm not normally one for a cap, but all the cool girls of Instagram seem to be wearing them – and I love this distressed baseball style. It's a ‘goes with anything’ addition to my accessories collection, and has already become a staple in my weekly wardrobe rotation.
Made For Sun Linen Shirt
I had to pair the dungarees with this black linen jacket, which is the perfect spring jacket for throwing on over everything from denim to summer dresses. I wish I didn't need it, but alas, British weather cannot make its mind up.
Lush Life Linen Strapless Midi Dress
The quality of Free People dresses is so good – their silhouettes are some of the best on the high street this summer. Effortlessly chic, this pink strapless style can be easily dressed up or down. I love how the bodice felt super supportive, and the full skirt fell down to my ankles.
The perfect pairing for my pink linen dress: these Wild Side Square Sunglasses. My new obsession, they're not only sturdy AF (my mum would be proud) but sleek and stylish. I love an outfit that matches, and these were the perfect shade for my opera mauve strapless dress.
Hearts On Fire Bandana
I wouldn't usually wear a neck scarf – in fact, I don't think I have before. But this bandana was so soft, and suited to pretty much every other Free People outfit I tried on, will be a cool and classic accessory which I lean on repeatedly this summer. It's the ideal piece to add a little something special to any outfit, and pretty affordable, too.
Sweet Escape Top
Red isn't a colour I have very much of in my wardrobe, but with cherry red taking the runways and the street style scene by storm of late, I felt it was about time to invest.
I love an embroidered top – they always make me feel so feminine – and I'm also all over the tie-front top style that was spearheaded by Ganni and which has taken centre-stage on Instagram of late. Three birds, one stone. This top is so lightweight and floaty.
Good Luck Shadow Patch Jeans
I always find jeans quite difficult to find: cuts that actually fit well and still look cool. These jeans are perfect for any season. Think: beer garden vibes, or dressed up with a pair of silver heels for a night out in the winter. I'm obsessed.
Presley Scrunchie
Such a statement piece, this dainty scrunchie is so on trend, especially in the GLAMOUR office right now. Seriously: everyone is wearing them.
One Catarina Skirt
A white maxi skirt is always a staple in my wardrobe, and one of my favourite items to wear in the summer. So easy to pair with any top and a pair of trainers. This style has a flattering slit down one thigh.
One Blossom Mini Skort
Being tall, I find mini skirts difficult to wear. But they're such a killer staple for festival season. Enter: Free People's One Blossom Mini Skort which provides ample coverage for tall gals but still looks cute and chic. Paired with my bandana, once again.
