Dark comedy TV series Bad Sisters is returning to Apple TV+ for a second season, and we cannot wait.
In case you haven't watched the first season (where have you been, if so?) it follows the lives of five sisters, and the death of one of their husbands. The series begins with the funeral of Grace (Anne-Marie Duff)'s abusive husband John Paul – with many family vendettas against him being revealed, with every sister having a reason to see him dead.
The rest of the season tells the story of the sisters' various attempts to off John Paul – to protect Grace – with many twists and turns along the way. Meanwhile life insurers Thomas and Matt are investigating John Paul's death for their own reasons, getting dangerously close to a secret truth.
Basically, as well as its sensitive and important portrayal of the nuances of domestic abuse and coercion and how it affects a victim as well as their loved ones, Bad Sisters is also full of dry humour and thrills as well – it's a genius piece of TV.
Will Chad Michael Murray and Bethany Joy Lenz return?
So obviously, you should watch it ASAP before the second season drops later this year, if you haven't already.
Sharon Horgan, who plays one of the sisters, co-wrote the first season and will return as a producer for season two, as well as reprising the role of Eva. “If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him, I’d have said, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right,’” Sharon previously said in a statement pegged to the possibility of a season 2.
“The response to our show has been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time.”
Here's everything we know so far about Bad Sisters season 2, including returning and new cast members, trailer info and a confirmed release date.

Apple TV's plot synopsis reads as follows: "Bad Sisters season two returns to follow the lives of the Garvey sisters played by Sharon Horgan as Eva, Anne-Marie Duff as Grace, Eva Birthistle as Ursula, Sarah Greene as Bibi and Eve Hewson as Becka.
